This award-winning, energy-efficient and extended cottage combines sustainable living with style and detail, in keeping with 16th century heritage yet embracing contemporary qualities.

With the help of Paul Langlois Architects, Ravenscroft Construction extended and refurbished this 16th century terraced cottage. Extending the 10ft wide existing building created additional living space as well as increasing the natural lighting. The natural ‘stack effect’ for air circulation composes this traditional home into a sustainable and comfortable cottage. (Photography by Pierre Bisson)
