Our Carpentry Apprenticeship Scheme enables individuals to become fully qualified carpenters on-island through the City and Guilds Site Carpentry and Bench Joinery course at the Guernsey Institute.

• No previous experience required though a keen interest in carpentry and the construction industry is essential
• An understanding of the industry or previous work experience is desired
• GBTEA pay scales for apprentices
• 39 hours per week with one day out for college

Requirements

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn quickly
• Excellent team player
• Good attention to detail
